Appointments

What’s new

Dr Mirza and Partners has changed the way patients access our service. From the 4th November all queries to the practice should be made via eConsult which can be accessed HERE or on the NHS App.

For more information on these changes please click HERE or why not read our newsletter HERE

How to Make an Appointment

We run an appointment system to keep your waiting time as short as possible. To request an appointment please complete an eConsult, your request will then be triaged by our clinician and you will be offered advice, support or an appointment based on your clinical need.

For each request made to the practice, patients can expect a response with advice or an appointment within 48 hours.

If you have an urgent problem inbuilt safety mechanisms will flag your form as high priority, these requests will be processed promptly and patients can typically expect a response within 6 hours.

Please make one appointment for each person wishing to be seen. If you require an interpreter please make this clear on your eConsult and state the language that is required so a double appointment can be arranged for you.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.

Patients who miss three appointments without letting us know may be removed from the practice list.

Home Visits

If possible please try to telephone reception between 08:00 – 10:00 if you require a home visit. Please note we cannot guarantee you will be visited by your preferred doctor.

You may only request a home visit if you are housebound or are too ill to visit the practice. Your GP will only visit you at home if they think that your medical condition requires it and will also decide how urgently a visit is needed.

You can be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.

Late For Your Appointment

Please attend your appointment on time, if you are late you may not be seen. If you are not seen you will not be able to rearrange your appointment until the next working day-except in the event of an medical emergency that requires immediate attention.

Text Reminder Service

We have a texting service which allows you to receive confirmation and reminders about your appointments.

To have this service you will need to register by completing a consent form.

Please remember to update your contact details with us when you change address, telephone numbers and email address.
